As (Junior) Category Manager, you are part of the Category Management team and work together with one other
Category Manager in Utrecht. You will have significant interaction with the Sales team and other departments and
report to the Category Lead Manager.


Function
You aim to increase the awareness of the shopper that frozen is a fresh, nutritious, and sustainable option for every
meal. You want to change the perception of frozen and make the frozen aisle more attractive to the shopper.


You partner up with the Account Managers to visit the retailers on a regular basis. Based on qualitative and quantitative
sources, you map the developments within the category in an understandable way and advise the retailers of your
optimum shopper-based strategy. From better segmentation to dedicating more space to growth categories within
frozen; from bringing more emotion to this part of the shop floor to the listing of innovation, you can jointly draw up and
implement plans to grow the frozen category.


You are leading Revenue Growth Management, with a focus on Promotion and Pricing. You set up the guidelines
around promotional activities and pricing / mix management, monitor implementation and evaluate results. You use
these findings to challenge and improve the plans across categories.


Qualifications
▪ At least 2 years of Category Management experience in FMCG
▪ Net Revenue Management / Revenue Growth Management experience is a plus
▪ Relevant Academic Degree
▪ Excellent IT skills – Excel, Nielsen, PowerPoint & Word
▪ Excellent communication skills both in Dutch & English
▪ Strong analytical skills; interpretation of data and ability to present implications towards internal stakeholders
and retailers
▪ High attention to detail, pro-active thinking & decisive
▪ Ambitious, enthusiastic & passionate team player
▪ Organised, ability to work under tight deadlines, while being flexible
